What is meant by saying that the potential difference between two points is 1 V?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The potential difference between two points (in a electric field) is said to be 1 volt if 1 J of work is done to move a charge of 10 from one point to another point.
`1V = (1J)/(1C)`
