100 J of heat is producec! in each second in a 4 `Omega` resistance. Find the potential difference across the resistor.

H = 100 J, R = 4 n, t = 1 s, V = ?
Now, Heat `H = I^2 Rt`
So, we have the current through the resistor as
`I = sqrt(H/(Rt))`
`= sqrt((100J)/((4 Omega xx 1s)))`
`=5A`
Thus, the potential. difference across the resistor, V is
`V = IR`
`= 5A xx 4 Omega`
`=20V`
