What are the disadvantges of DC ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Disadvantage of DC are as follows :
(1) Relative to the production of AC, the production of DC is comparatively difficult and expensive .
(2) There is a lot of loss electricity in transmitting Dc over long distances.
(3) Desired DC voltage / current cannot be controlled without singnificant loss of electricity (electric energy ).
