If fuses of 250 mA, 5A and 10 A were available , which one would be the most suitable for protecting an amplifer rated as 240 V, 180 W ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

1 A
Because , the current rating of an amplifier is `I = (P)/(V) = (180 W)/(240 V) = (3)/(4) A = 0.75 A `
Hence , the fuse of 1 A rating is most suitable compared to other give fuses for safety purpose .
