What is the role-played by luteininzing hormones in males and females respectively ?

In males `(O^(-))` LH induces synthesis secretion of androgens from testis. Along with FSH, also regulates spermatogensis.
In female `(+^("O"))` LH induces ovulation from mature ovarian follicles. It maintains corpus luteum which secretes progesterone.
