Diffraction of light : The phenomenon of bending of light waves around the sharp edges or corners of an obstacle.
Condition for maxima is given by
` theta = (2n +1) lamda/(2a)`
where `n=1,2,3,…….`
Condition for minima is given by
` theta = (2n ) ( lamda )/( 2a) `
where `n=1,2,3,........`
