What happens at the synapse between two neurons ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Synapse is the gap between nerve endings of axon of one neuron and dendrites of another neuron.
At the end of axon, the electrical impulse sets off the release of some chemicals. These chemicals cross the synapse and start a similar electrical impulse in a dendrite of the next neuron.
