We should conserve forests because they,
(1) Provide raw materials for various industries.
(2) Provide fruits, vegetables, fodder, grass, etc.
(3) Provide medicines, herbs, gum, resin, catechu, etc.
(4) Provide habitat to animals.
(5) Prevent soil erosion and flood.
(6) Provide sources for economic and social growth.
(7) Play an important role in maintaining `CO_)(2)-O_(2)` balance in the atmosphere. Regulate earth.s average temperature.
Importance of wildlife conservation :
(1) To maintain forest ecosystem and ecological balance in nature.
(2) It helps into maintain forests by facilitating growth of plants in different places by dispersing seeds.
(3) Flow of energy in trophic levels maintained and biodiversity increases.
