(1) Switch off the lights, fans, television and other electrical appliances when not in use.
(2) Make use of stairs instead of lift at least up to two to three floors in a building.
( 3 ) Pressure cookers should be used to save the fuels.
( 4 ) Bicycles can be used to cover short distances,
(5) Public transport system (local buses and trains) in the cities should be made available so people do not use their own vehicles to commute.
By such simple steps, we can save electricity and fossil fuels.
