(2) It is used in TV, refrigerator, air-conditioner, computer etc. and also used as voltage regulator.
(3) For stabilising power supply.
(4) Step-up transformer is used for gettign large electric current for electric welding.
(5) Step-down tranformer is used for melting the metals in furnace. (7) Electric energy produced in power station reaches to consumers through transformer.
