A coil of inductance L has an inductive ...

A coil of inductance L has an inductive reactance of `X_L` in an A.C. circuit in which the effective current is I. The coil is made from a super - conducting material then, what power is dissipated in the coil ?

A

0

B

`IX_L`

C

`I^2X_L`

D

`IX_L^2`

Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
A

The coil is made from a super conducting material so R is zero. So this circuit contain only L. So power loss in the circuit containing only L is zero.
