What is asexual reproduction? Explain encystation and sporulation in Amoeba.

A sexual reproduction : It is a kind of reproduction where off spring is produced by a single parent with or without the involvement of gamete formation.
Encystation : During unfavourable conditions, organisms like Amoeba cover themselves with three layered hard covering or cyst. This is called Encystation.
Sporulation : On return of favourable conditions, it divides by multiple fission within the cyst and produces many Amoebae. The cyst bursts and spores are liberated to develop into adults. This is called sporulation.
