Explain any three major abiotic factors influencing the life of organisms.

Water :
Water is abiotic factor influencing the life of organisms. In desert only some organisms are adapted to live because of scanty water. The production and distribution of plants also depend on water. The distribution of animals also depends upon the quality of water. Some organisms tolerate a narrow range of salt concentration. Such organisms are called stenohaline.
Light
Light is another abiotic factor, plants produce food in presence of light. Some small plants growing in forests are adapted to produce optimum food. Under very low light condition many plants share photo periodism for flowering, Animals are also dependent upon light.
Soil :
The nature and properties of soil varies in various places. The soil property depends upon climate, the weathering process and development of soil. The characters of soil is depending upon percolation of water and water holding capacity of soil particles.
