What will be shape of wave propagationg on sea when observed from sea shore ? Why ?

Wave propagating on sea surface is the resultant of capillary waves (transverse waves on the surface of sea water) and gravity waves (longitudinal waves below the surface of sea water) which assumes elliptical shape.
