How do you show the presence of following in glucose molecule :
(i) Unbrached skeleton of six carbon atoms .
(ii) Carbonyl group.

(i) When glucose is reduced with HI acid with P it formed hexane. It shows that Glucose contain 6 carbon atom chain .
(ii) Glucose gets oxidised by bromine water to gluconic acid contains the presene of carbonyl group.
