If we interchange the lenths of the base and the height of a cuboid to get another cuboid, will its lateral surface area change?

Can we say that the total surface area of cuboid = lateral surface area +2xx area of base?

Note that lateral surface area of a cylinder is the circumference of base xx height of cylinder. Can we write lateral surface area of a cuboid as perimeter of base xx height of cuboid?
