Given : Distance (r') = 2r
time period (T) = 365 days
To find : Time period (T')
Formula : `T^2 prop r^3`
Calculation : from formula ,
`(T^2)/(T'^2) = (r^3)/(r'^3) = (r^3)/(8r^3)`
`therefore T' = sqrt(8) T = sqrt (8) (365)`
`therefore` T' = 1032.37 days
For an object on the surface of the earth, its escape velocity is independent of radius of orbit . hence , this will not affect its escape
