What would be the path of refracting ray...

What would be the path of refracting ray and emergence ray, if two glass slabs kept attached to each other are used?

Text Solution

i. For refraction of light passing through two glass slabs, the incident ray and the emergent ray are parallel to each other.
ii. The emergent ray is displaced more· with respect to the incident ray in the case of two attached glass slabs as compared to refraction of light through a single glass slab.
