Draw a cage on one side of a cardboard' and a bird on the other side. Hang the cardboard with the help of a thread. Twist the thread and leave it. What do you see and why?

When a cardboard with cage drawn on one side and a bird drawn on other is tied to a thread and twisted, we get the illusion of the bird inside the cage.
These phenomena happen due to persistence of vision.
