ii.Some vestigial organs in humans that are functional in other animals are as follows:
a. Appendix: It is fully functional in ruminants for digestion of cellulose.
b. Muscle of the ear pinna: It is useful in monkeys and other animals like rabbits, cows, horse, etc. for movement of ear pinna. ltbr. c. Other vestigial organs include the tail-bone (coccyx), body hairs, nictitaing membrane (third eyelid), wisdom tooth etc.
