How all the life processes contribute to the growth and development of the body?

Explanation

i. Various life processes like nutrition, digestion, respiration , excretion,circulation and control and co-ordination are essential for the growth and development of the body.
ii. Essential nutrients like carbohydrates, proteins , fats etc., are obtained through digestion of food and are transported to the various cells of the body through blood circulation.
iii. Oxygen inspired also enters the blood and is transferred to the various parts of the body, where it is utilized for cellular respiration by oxidation of food to generate energy for various life processes.
iv. Harmful metabolic waste generated is eliminated from the body by the process of excretion.
v. All these various life processes along with movement and locomotion and controlled and co-ordinated by the nervous system and endocrine system.
