(a). Due to high energy consumption the existing sources of energy are depleting rapidly and will become scarce in the future.
(b). Saving energy will reduce the burning of fossil fuels thus minimizing air pollution, water pollution and production of harmful gases that lead to environmental hazards such as global warming and acid rain.
Hence, saving energy is the need of the hour.
