How does the infection of round worms like Ascaris, fialrial worm and plant nematodes occur and what are their preventive measures and treatment ?

Infection of round worm like Ascaris :
Ascaris is an intestinal endoparasite in humans and causes ascariasis . Female lays the capsulated eggs , which are released from the human body through the faeces and can infect other humans. Humans also become infected through ingestion of eggs through contaminted food (e.g. vegetables and fruits) and water.
Preventive measures : Ascariasis can be prevented by proper disposal of human faeces , covering of eatables , proper handling of food , maintaining personal hygiene. Treatment: Anthelmintic drugs like Mebendazole and Albendazole.
Infection of Filarial worm :
Infection of filarial worm causes filariasis.
It is caused by Wuchereria bancrofti which is found in lymph vessels and lymph nodes of man (primary host).
These parasitic round worms need a secondary host i.e. Aedes and Culex mosquitoes to complete their life cycle.
When infected mosquitoes bite humans, microfilariae get injected in the blood of humans.
Preventive measures :
Filariasis can be prevented by avoiding exposure to mosquitoes by using insecticides, insect repellents or wire gauging doors and windows to check the entry of mosquitoes.
Treatment :
Anthelminthic drugs like Ivermectin.

Using nematode free nursery stock for planting , fumigating soil before planting , using nematicides, etc.

Remove infected plants and dispose them away from garden areas.
