i. Biopesticides are the biological agents which can be used to kill or check gte proliferation of disease causing agents.
ii. Chemical pesticides are toxic and harmful to plants and animals. Exposure to pesticides can cause number of health effects in humans like skin diseases.
iii. Chemical pesiticides kill harmful as well as beneficial organisms. Also, they pollute soil, water and air.
iv. However, biopesticides are non-toxic and thus do not cause any pollution.
v. Biopesticides control the pests by keeping them at a manageable leavel in the food chain, thus it maintains biodiversity and a balance in the ecosystem. Therefore, biaopesticides can reduce the application of chemical pesticides used for controlling pests and insects.
