i. The zygote formed after fusion of male and female gamete ( fertilization ) , begins to divide by repeated mitotic divisions and an embryo is formed.
ii. It is pushed towards uterus, where it gets implanted and further development occurs.
iii. Placenta is formed which supplies food material to the embryo during its growth in the uterus.
iv. Approximately, within nine months after fertilization embryonic development is completed and baby becomes ready for birth.
