i. Menstrual cycle is a natural process in which unfertilized ovum along with the lining of endometrium is discharged through the vagina.
ii. During menstruatioin, bleeding occurs continuously for approximately five days.
iii. Severe pain and weakness is felt due to heavy bleeding.
iv. There is higher possibility of infection during this period.
Thus, there is need of rest along with special personal hygiene during menstruation.
