It is prepared by dissolving `CuCO_3` in dilute `H_2SO_4` acid.
`CuCO_3 + H_2SO_4` rarr `CuSO_4 + CO_2 + H_2O`
Uses: (a) It is used as a fungicide.
(b) It is used as electrolyte in copper plating.
