What is freezing point of a liquid ?...

What is freezing point of a liquid ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Freezing point is the tempreature at which the vapour pressure of the liquid and the solid state become identical i.e both solid and liquid states coexist. The liquid and solid are in equilibrium state . The freezing point of a solution is less than the freezing point of a pure solvent .
