A block A of mass m_(1) rests on a horizontal table. A light string connected to it passes over a frictionless pulley at the edge of table and from its other end another block B of mass m_(2) is suspended. The coefficient of knetic friction between the block and table is mu_(k) . When the block A is sliding on the table, the tension in the string is.

On the centre of a frictionless table, a small hole is made, through which a weightless string of lenth 2l is inserted. On the two ends of the strings, two balls of the same mass m are attached, Arrangement is made in such a way that half of the string is on the table top and half is hanging below. The ball on the table top is made to move in a circular path with a constant speed v, What is the centripetal acceleration of the moving ball?

A chain of mass m and radius R placed on a smooth table is revolving with a speed v about a vertical axis coinciding with the symmetry axis of the chain. Find the tension in the chain.

A block of mass m_(2) is placed on a horizontal table and another block of mass m_(1) is placed on top is it. An increasing horizontal force F = alpha t is exerted on the upper block but the lowwer block never moves as a result. If the coefficient of friction between the blocks is mu_(1) coefficient of friction between the blocks is mu_(1) and that between the lower block and the table is mu_(2), then what is the maximum possible value of mu_(1)//mu_(2) ?

One end of string of length l is connected to a particle on mass m and the other end is connected to a small peg on a smooth horizontal table. If the particle moves in circle with speed v the net force on the particle (directed toward centre) will be ( T reprents the tension in the string):

A heavy uniform chain lies on a horizontal table-top. If the coefficient of friction between the chain and table surface is 0.25, then the maximum fraction of length of the chain, that can hang over one edge of the table is

Calculate the coefficient of static friction for on object of mass 50 kg placed on a horizontal table pulled by attaching a spring balance. The force is increased gradually, it is observed that the object just moves, when the spring balance shows 50 N

A weightless spring of length 60 cm and force constant 200 N/m is kept straight and unstretched on a smooth horizontal table and its ends are rigidly fixed. A mass of 0.25 kg is attached at the middle of the spring and is slightly displaced along the length. The time period of the oscillation of the mass is

Calculate the coefficient of static friction for an object of mass 50 kg placed on horizontal table pulled by attaching a spring balance. The force is increased gradually it is observed that the object just moves when spring balance shows 50N.

The coefficient of static friction, mu_(s) between block A of mass 2 kg and the table as shown in the figure is 0.2. What would be the maximum mass value of block B so that the two blocks do not move? The string and the pulley are assumed to be smooth and massless. (g=10m//s^(2))
