A copper wire and steel wire both have the same length and radius are joined end to end, when the composite wire is hung from a rigid support, and the load attached at the free end, the increase in the length is found to be 1cm. Find the increase in length of copper steel wire. (Y for copper = 1.2 xx 10^11 N//m^2 , Y for steel = 2.1 xx 10^11 N//m^2)

A copper wire and a steel wire of same length and same cross-section are joined end to end. The compositive wire is hung from a rigid support and a load is suspended form the free end. The increase in length of the compositive wire is 4 mm. The increase in copper wire will be (Y_(copper)=1.2xx10^(11)N//m^(2),Y_(steel)=2xx10^(11)N//m^(2))

An aluminium wire and a steel wire are of the same length and crosssection and are joined end to end. The composite wire is hung from a rigid support, a load is suspended from the free end. If the increase in the length of composite wire is 2.77 mm, find the increase in length of each wire. ( Y_A = 7 xx 10^10 N/m^2) (Y steel= 2 xx 10^11 N//m^2)
