A particle moving with a uniform acceleration 24m and 64m in the first two consecutive interval of 4 seconds each . It's initial velocity is

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Distance travelled in 4 seconds is
`24=uxx4+1/2axx4^2=4u+8a`
Distance travelled in 8 seconds is
`(24+6+4)=uxx8+1/2axx8^2=8u+32a`
Solving we get u=1m/s.
