A mass of 4kg is hung from a metal wire of radius 0.5 mm and length 3m. Find the extension produced in the wire. What should be minimum radius of the wire so that the elastic limit of `20 xx 10^7 N/m^2` of the metal wire is not exceeded ? Y=20x10^10N/m^2.
