why the spring is made up of steel and not of cupper ?

We know elasticity of steel is more than that of cupper. For equal applied force, the elongation of steel spring is less than that of cupper for same initial length. So steee spring can bera a larger tension before elastic limit is reached. Also, steel recovers it's orignal state quicker than copper.
