When the radius of a soap bubble is inreased from `1/sqrtpi` in to `2/sqrtpi`cm, the work done is720 erg. Find the surface tension of the soap solution.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`w = 2 xx T [4piR_2^2 - 4piR_1^2]`
`720 = 2T[4pi xx 4/pi - 4pi xx 1/pi`]
`therefore 720 = 2T xx 12`
`thereforeT = 30` dyne/cm
