If an inflated tyer bursts, the air escaping out is cooled, why ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

When the tyre bursts, there is adiabatic expansion, the air because the pressure of air inside is sufficiently greater than atmospheric pressure. In expansion, the air does some work against sorrundings and so its internal energy decreases. This causes a fall in temperature.
