A body , starting from rest and moving with constant acceleration , covers 10 m in the first second. Find the distance travelled by it in the next second.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Using the equation for the distance travelled in the `n^(th)` second , `viz,. S_(n)=u+a/2(2n-1)`
We have for the first second , `10=0+2/2(2xx2-1)=30m. `
Noth: following this procedure it can be shown that the distance travelled in equal time intervals will be in the ratio `1:3:5:7:`....
