In a fraction, if numerator is increased keeping denominator same, or denominator is inrreased keeping numerator same, let us find the change in the value of the fraction

(xvii) Express the following statements in the form of simultaneous linear equations : (a) If 2 is added to both the numerator and denominator of a fraction it becomes (5)/(7) and If 1 is substracted from both the numerator and denominator the value of the fraction becomes (1)/(2) .

Sum of the numerator and the denominator of a fraction is 13. If 4 is added to the numerator and 10 is added to the denominator of the fraction it becomes (1)/(2) . Find the fraction.

If 2 is added to both the numerator and the denominator of a fraction , it becomes (9)/(11) Again, if 1 is subtracted from both the numerator and denominator of the fraction ,it becomes (3)/(4) Determine the fraction .

Express the following statements in the form of a linear equations of two variables and draw the graph of them : (ii) If 2 is added to both the numerator and denominator of a fraction, the value of the fraction becomes 7/9 .

Volume of a right circular cone is 100"cm"^(3) . The radius of the base of the cone increases at the constant rate of 1 cm/sec keeping volume of the cone unchanged. Find the rate of change of the height of he cone when radius is 10cm.

The denominator of a fraction is greater than numerator of it by 5 and if 3 is added to both the numerator and the denominator the fraction becomes (3)/(4) . Find the fraction.

Express the following statements in the form of simultaneous linear equations : If 2 is added to both the numerator and denominator of a fraction, its value becomes 7/9 and if 3 subtracted from both the numerator and denominator of it, the fraction becomes 1/2 .

If 2 is subtracted from the numerator and 3 is added to the denominator of a fraction , it becomes (1)/(4) . But , if 6 is added to the numerator and the denonimator is multiplied by 3, then the fraction becomes (2)/(3) . Determine the fraction.
