A driver decreases the speed of a car from `25 ms^(-1)` to 1`0 ms^(-1)` in 5 second. Find the acceleration of the car.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Here, `u = 25 ms ^(-1), v =10 ms ^(-1), t = 5 s`
`a = (v -u)/(t) = (10- 25 ms ^(-1))/(5s)=-3ms ^(-2).`
The acceleration of the car is `-3ms ^(-2).`
