Find the equation of circles determined ...

Find the equation of circles determined by the following conditions. The centre at (-2, 3) and passing through origin.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Centre at (-2, 3) and circle passes through origin.
`therefore` Radius of the circle = `sqrt((-2)^2 + 3^2) = sqrt(13)`
`therefore` Equation of the circle is
`(x-h)^2 + (y-k)^2 = a^2`
or, `(x+2)^2 + (y-3)^2 = 13`
