Find the equation of the tangent and nor...

Find the equation of the tangent and normal to the circle `x^2+y^2=25` at the point (3, -4).

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Equation of the tangent to the circle `x^2+y^2=25` at the point (3, -4) is
`x x_1+yy_1=a^2`
3x-4y=25
Equation of the normal is `x_1y=xy_1`
or, 3y = -4x or, 4x + 3y = 0
