Find the value of `i` in the circuit shown above.

Equivalent emf of the parallel combination is
`E=(E_1/r_1+E_2/r_2)/(r_1+1/r_2)`
`=(6/2+2/2)/(1/2+1/2)=4` volt
Equivalent internal resistane of the parallel combination is
`r=(r_1r_2)/(r_1+r_2)=((2)(2))/(2+2)=1Omega`
Now, the equivalent simple circuit is as shown below

`i=("Net emf")/("Total resistance")`
`=(10+4)/(2+1+5)`
`=1.75A`
