Give the magnitude and polarity of the following voltages in the circuit of figure:

i. `V_1` ii. `V_2` iii. `V_3` iv. `V_(3-2)`
v. `V_(1-2)`
`V_(1-3)`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
A, B

`i=200/(5+10+25)=5A` (anti-clocwise)
`V_3-V_G=25xx5=125`
`:. V_3=125V as V_G=0`
`V_G-V_2=10xx5=50`
`:. V_2=-50V`
`V_2-V_1=5xx5=25V`
`:. V_1=V_2-25=-75V`
`Now, V_(3-2)=V_3-V_2`
