Which one of the following is `v_(m) - T` graph for perfectly black body ? `v_(m)` is the frequency of radition with maximum intensity. T is the absolute temperature

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

According to Wien's displacement law,
`lambda_(m)T`=b=Wien's constant
If `v_(m)` is the frequency corresponding to wavelength `lambda_(mv)` then
`(C/v_(m))T=b`
or `v_(m) = C/bT`
i.e. `v_(m) alpha T`
`therefore v_(m) - T` graph is straight line shown by the curve C.
