The position of an object is always expressed w.r.t. some refrence point. If the initial position of an object w.r.t. a reference points is `s_(1)` and after sometime, it changes to `s_(2)`, then the magnitude of the displacement of the object is `s_(2)-s_(1)`. If the value of `s_(2)` is greater than `s_(1)`, then the displacement is positive, but if the value of `s_(2)` is less than `s_(1)`, then the displacement is negative. So, its displacement is zero `(because s_(1)=s_(2)=h)`
