Let us consider two forces `F_(1) " and " F_(2)` acting on a body of mass 2 kg as shown in the figure. `F_(1)=10N`, `F_(2)=`2N , what will be the acceleration?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Unbalanced external force= `F_(1)-F_(2)=10-2=8N`
In the direction of `F_(1)`.
so, `F=ma implies a=(F)/(m)=8/(2)=4ms^(-1)`

The body move in direction of `F_(1)`

According to Newton.s second law of motion, resultant force on a particle is in the direction of acceleration of the particle. Two forcce F_(1) and F_(2) are acting on a particle as shown in the figure. The acceleration of the particle is along X-axis. FInd the value of F_(1) (in newton)

A block is kept at rest on a rought ground as shown. Two force F_(1) and F_(2) are acting on it. If we increased either of the two force F_(1) and F_(2) , force of friction acting on the block will increase. By increasing F_(1) , normal reaction from ground will increase.

When forces F_(1) , F_(2) , F_(3) are acting on a particle of mass m such that F_(2) and F_(3) are mutually prependicular, then the particle remains stationary. If the force F_(1) is now rejmoved then the acceleration of the particle is
