Let a 3 kg block be moving downward.

Along the plane :

`30 sin 30^(@)-T=3a`….. (i)
`T-20=2a`…(ii)
`a=-1 ms^(-1)`
T=18 N
since, the acceleration is negative, i.e., the block of mass 3 kg is moving upward.
