Why does the conductivity of a solution decreases with dilution?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Molar conductivity increases with decreases in concentration. This is because of the decrease in interionic attraction for strong electrolytes. For weak electrolytes, it is due to the increases in the number of ions due to greater dissociation.
