Since hydrogen is bonded to small electronegative oxygen aiom.in `H_2O`, its molecules are associated by intermolecular hydrogen bonding. So large amount of energy is required to separate them and thus water is a liquid with high boiling point. There is.no hydrogen bonding in `H_2S`.
