Polymers are macro molecules formed by union of monomers. Distinguish between thermoplastic and thermosetting polymers with example

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Thermoplastics are polymers which becomes soft on heating and hard on cooling and this process can be repeated many times e.g., PVC, polythene
Thermosetting polymers become infusible and hard on heating due to the formation of cross links. They cannot be remelted or remoulded e.g, bakelite.
