If A,B are two events such that P(A)=0.3, P(B)=0.4,P(AcupB)=0.6 Find
P(A | B)

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

A and B are two set events such that P(A)=0.3,P(B)=0.4, P`(AcupB)`=0.6 We have
`P(A cup B)=P(A)+P(B)-P(A cap B)`
or, 0.6=0.3+0.4-P`(A cap B)`
`P (A | B)=(P(A cap B))/(P(B))=0.1/0.4=1/4`
